Project Information

The Al Mashtal Master Plan is a 5.4 million SF (500,000 SM) mixed-use development comprising of office, retail, hotel, residential, cultural center and parking components to be built on a 1.5 million SF (142,400 SM) site. Located in north-central UAE, Al Mashtal city lies on a T-shaped island jutting into the Persian Gulf from Abu Dhabi’s central western coast.

The Al Mashtal project presents a unique opportunity to create a landmark development in the center of Abu Dhabi. It combines a commercially viable context with efficient and functional planning, along with iconic architecture and a responsive communal urban fabric. The proposed design includes environmental treatments which will make the project an ecological prototype for similar urban developments. The project also introduces a pedestrian streetscape with climate amelioration measures which will make the development a leading landmark in the United Arab Emirates.
