Festival Walk, a mixed-use development on an 8.65 acre (3.5 hectacre) site, is comprised of 1.07M SF of retail shops and a 430,000 SF office building. This multifunction nexus incorporates a 107,639 SF bus terminal, parking accommodations for 830 cars and pedestrian connections to the nearby City University of Hong Kong. The retail mall has 7 levels of shopping and includes an 11-screen multiplex cinema, food courts and an Olympic-sized skating rink. The retail center is directly connected to Hong Kong’s Mass Transit Railway (MTR) and Kowloon Canton Railway (KCR) stations at Kowloon Tong. This hub is currently the only interchange between the KCR and MTR transit systems in all of Hong Kong.
In addition to serving as a major railway hub, Festival Walk is also the junction of several major transportation systems and includes an intermodal center that incorporates a 100,000 SF bus terminal, a Park-N-Stop superstore, several pedestrian connections from the subway and train station. The intermodal center connects to the street level through the multilevel shopping mall and the office complex above, links the university to the City, and is teeming with life 24 hours a day.
