Curtain like geometry dramatizes the vertical dimension of the model structure, turning it into an unexpectedly monumental surface.

This project marked the beginning of an ambitious plan to expand and eventually replace the existing Bronx Art Museum. Designed by Arquitectonica, the 16,700 square foot Bronx Museum of the Arts would provide a strong civic presence while being inviting to potential visitors.
