The High School for Construction Trades, Engineering & Architecture in Queens, New York is a 150,000 SF (13,935 SM) specialty high school housing classrooms, a 3,600 SF (330 SM) library, a fully functioning 300-seat theater, and a double-height lobby connected to a presentation hall. Arquitectonica also designed many specialized laboratories, which include a material technologies lab, a mechanical drafting lab, model building lab, and a computer drafting lab. Each of the large programmatic elements are identified by different colors and cladding materials. This school is designed to accommodate the needs of over 900 students.
