The redevelopment of City Point will be a landmark development in Kuala Lumpur’s historic district, and will serve as a catalyst in the successful regeneration of the old central district of Kuala Lumper. The new state-of-the-art tower and podium replace the existing City Point Centre, which housed Kuala Lumper’s original Stock Exchange. The design of the new project references the Islamic prominence of the adjacent Kompleks Dayabumi Tower and respects the surrounding government buildings of architectural heritage and national importance. City Point Redevelopment comprises office and hotel in a single tower atop an integrated retail podium. The 60-story tower rises above the podium on the riverfront, offering 360-degree views of the city for its office and hotel occupants. The project, which has been designed to the highest international standards, has 656,598 SF (61,000 sqm) of office, a 473,612 SF (44,000 sqm) four-star hotel with 500 rooms, 193,750 SF (18,000 sqm) of retail space, and 2,400 parking spaces.
