Forté on Flagler is a 25-story, 341,000 SF (31,680 m²) residential development in West Palm Beach with 41 luxury residences and a full-floor six-bedroom penthouse, all with panoramic views of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. Amenities include a 129-car parking garage, second-story pool deck with a 75-foot lap pool, a spa and fitness center, outdoor dining and lounge areas, private dining areas, and a theater.

The building form is inspired by nautical imagery, appropriate to the yachting tradition of the Palm Beach intracoastal waterway. The elliptical form of the building’s design is divided into two prows heading to sea, two racing vessels racing full speed. The wedge-shaped forms soar towards the sky adding drama to the approach from the waterfront similar to a swimmer in the ocean swimming back towards his yacht. The materials reinforce the nautical imagery by use of pinstriped shiny wood banded soffits, smooth white surfaces and highly polished steel details. The sweeping curved aerodynamic geometry is consistent with naval architecture shaped to minimize wind resistance and allow water flow around a hull. The design is about the beauty of fluid form, about the plasticity of nautical design.
