Grand Hyatt San Antonio Convention Center Hotel and Alteza Condominiums
The convention center headquarters hotel for the City of San Antonio has 1,003 hotel rooms, including 50 suites, organized in a split tower plan built on a 4-level podium containing 79,000 SF (7,340 m2) of meeting space including a 32,000 SF (3,000 m2) grand ballroom, 20,000 SF (1,900 m2) junior ballroom and 26 meeting rooms. Eight levels of condominiums in 147 units top out the hotel with condos ranging from 749 to 4,680 SF (70 to 434 m2).
The building features a health club and two pool decks, one for the hotel at level five, and a rooftop pool and terraces for condominium residents. At 525 feet (160 meters), it is the second tallest structure in San Antonio. The complex is adjacent to the city’s newly expanded convention center, the historic Lila Cockrell performing arts center and rises next to the famous San Antonio RiverWalk. An entry plaza to the theater and convention center links them to the lobby and lounge of the hotel. On the second basement level, a restaurant and bar connect directly to the San Antonio Riverwalk. Additionally, five levels of underground parking provide a total of more than 1000 parking spaces.
