Located a stone’s throw from Trafalgar Square in the city of Westminster, London, the Hobhouse project is a renovation integrated into the dense urban fabric. While respecting the historic character that is dominant in the area, the project has its own identity that brings a dynamic energy to the street.

The 6,000 m² (65 000 sf) mixed-use program includes high-end residential, Category A offices, street level retail, a restaurant and an art gallery in the renovated vaults. The use of brick is also reinterpreted. Bricks of different tonalities are mixed to create geometric or painterly effects. Strong diagonal folds and the setbacks open the street to the sky while insuring a harmonious transition of scales of volumes.
