Miami Riverbridge is a new three-tower mixed-use development in Downtown Miami designed to replace the Hyatt Regency Hotel and James L. Knight Center. Arquitectonica and ArquitectonicaGEO are commissioned for the master plan, architecture and landscape design of the 3.79 million SF (351,600 m2) megaproject.
The 3-tower development includes 1,342 multifamily units, 264 apartment hotel units, 615 hotel keys, 100,000 SF (9,200 m2) of commercial space and 1,180 parking spaces. In the initial phase, Tower 1 will have 62 levels topping off at 734 feet while Tower 3 will have 87 levels rising 1,044 feet. Tower 2 will reach 636 feet at 52 levels in the project’s second phase.
The project site is located at the nexus of the Brickell Financial District and the Central Business District, and it sits at a vital entry point for many people entering the urban core. Redeveloping this land is an opportunity to rethink the way people will access this site over future decades – by foot, bike, train, car, and boat. The new vision for this development will enhance the flow in and out of Downtown and create vital open public space and an enhanced waterfront promenade along the Miami River, which is growing in importance as more people take residence in the neighborhood.
