Arquitectonica led the effort to update the 142-room, 12-story, historic 1939 Ritz Plaza hotel reinventing its image for the SLS brand with the addition of 10 luxury bungalows suites, cabanas, the Hyde Beach Club and pool deck, and two restaurants – the Bazaar by José Andrés and Katsuya by Sushi Chef Katsuya Uechi. The Arquitectonica-designed Hyde Beach addition features 8,000 SF of indoor/outdoor lounge amenities emptying onto the sand steps from the Atlantic Ocean, modeled after the best beach-side destinations of the Mediterranean Riviera.
