Raymond Fort speaks on the impact of technology on construction and design

Raymond Fort, a designer at Arquitectonica, took part in a panel discussion presented by LAB Ventures, regarding the impact of technology on construction and design. He commented that not only is technology changing the way architects design buildings with the use of 3D tools such as Revit and Building Information Modeling (BIM), but also the technology consumers use to shop online are changing the way designers allocate space. With the abundance of packages ordered on a daily basis, more thought has to go into the planning of mailrooms and deliveries which takes up valuable lobby space.
