Hobhouse Court wins AIA Florida/Caribbean Merit Award

We are proud to announce that Arquitectonica’s first project in London, Hobhouse Court, was awarded the 2020 AIA Florida/Caribbean Merit Award of Excellence for New Work.

Hobhouse Court is a vibrant and accessible mixed-use project designed to enhance the area and preserve the historical surroundings. Positioned in an architecturally sensitive area surrounding Trafalgar Square, the project has a distinctly contemporary facade which needed brickwork to reflect the richness, grain and materiality of the surrounding vernacular. Arquitectonica blended old and new not only conceptually but also practically: pre-existing walls have been incorporated into the final design, with surfaces textured with a combination of extremely old and all-new masonry.
